Foggy textures, melodic driftwood, hints of far away places and occasional rhythms slightly reminiscent of O Yuki Conjugate, Rapoon and other ambient practitioners of late 80s era though not wholly of that overall sound. Highly recommended. Get the cassette! Anthony Childs
As exceptional as this is I'm concerned it will get too easily lost in the shuffle, even among his devoted listeners / long-time fans. I've mentioned several times indie labels should be releasing many of his digital albums on physical format (even with the current woeful manufacturing challenges). As prolific as Muslimgauze --and, thankfully, still with us-- with arguably a more sonically diverse catalogue. It should be impossible to ignore talent this significant in the commercial marketplace. Anthony Childs
